Zombocalypse is controlled by using the keyboard. The left and right arrow keys are used to move. The down arrow key is used to pick up crates or can be held to drop your current weapon. The up arrow key is used to call in support when it is available. The WASD counterparts to the arrow keys can be used instead. Press the spacebar to use your weapon. Finally, the shift key is used to pause the game.
Zombocalypse is a shooting game that takes place (as the title of the game, a portmanteau, suggests) takes place during a zombie apocalypse. This zombie game features cartoonish graphics, thrilling audio, a plethora of weapons, and arcade-style gameplay.
The objective of Zombocalypse is to kill zombies and survive as long as possible. You start the game with only your trusty machete, but as you progress, random weapons will be airdropped for you to use. Pick up these crates fast, because they will fade away if left to sit too long. There is only one level in this shooting game and gameplay continues until your character is overwhelmed and killed by the undead hordes.
When your character is killed, you gain experience based on the number of zombies that you killed. As you level up, you will be able to unlock new weapons and characters. Your progress is saved at the end of each game, so any weapons or skins that you unlock will be available to you in future sessions of this shooting game.
The key to success in Zombocalypse is killing zombies in rapid succession, or combination kills. To get a high combo score in this shooting game, it may help to shoot blindly off of the screen. It may seem like a waste of ammo, but you will probably kill some zombies. If you wait too long, the combo bar will deplete and your combo score will be reset to one. If you manage to raise your combo count high enough, support powers become available to you. At twenty-five kills, a missile strike becomes available, at fifty kills an airstrike becomes available, and at one hundred kills an attack helicopter will hover over the stage and provide support for five seconds! Zombies that are killed by the support powers also count towards your combo score, making it easier to gain new support strikes one after the other.
Zombocalypse is a straightforward arcade-style shooting game with a shallow learning curve. This shooting game is easy to pick up, but challenging to master, making it great for hardcore players and casual gamers alike!
