Thing Thing
Thing Thing Instructions
Just like most shooting games out there, you need to use your keyboard for basic movement, weapon selection, and everything else in between. For basic movement, just use the W, A, D, and S buttons to jump, move forward and backwards, and duck respectively. With multiple weapons at your disposal, you need to learn how to cycle through them. And to do just that, use the F button. For opening doors, press the Space Bar button and you should be all set. And when it comes to shooting down enemies, this should be crystal clear and easy - aim with your mouse, and when you are all set, press the left click button to fire.

When you combine stick figures with shooting games, this is what you get - Thing Thing! A stickman shooting game that comes with truckloads of gore and action, which gets a lot of points on my list. Thing Thing is the very first game in the installment created by Diseased Productions. The game is anything BUT long. However, it did an excellent job of bringing the game engine that will empower the whole Thing Thing series for the years to come. Fast forward today, this installments of shooting games from Diseased Productions can be easily found on the top 10 list of the best casual shooting games of all time!
As I have said before, this shooting game showcases a lot of blood and gore. If you are easily turned off by that, this may not be for you... or you can change the settings to get rid of it. If you don't mind it, then read on. When it comes to customization options, this shooting game has its lion's share. Need a head gear? NO PROBLEM! Top hat, fedora, kaiser helmet, spinny hat, new wave hair, hedgehog hair, and those are just to name a few of the ones you can lay your hands on. Just take your pick. Grab your own suit - have a suit, a suit and a tie, black or white trench coat, and everything else in between.
Weapons - Ahh, what would a shooting game be without them? And just like the head gears and suits, Thing Thing (even though primitive compared to its later installments) has a lot to offer. You can have a semi automatic machine gun, Magnum, Guss Gun, a Caliber 45 pistol, and those are just to name a few. Check out the game for the full weapons' list. Now, when you are out of ammunition, no problem... whack your enemies with whatever you are holding until they fall to the ground, pick up their weapon, and take it from there. If you are looking for shooting games where you get serious doses of action and fast paced fun from the get-go, this is a very strong candidate. Oh! And one more thing, the environment is also quite interactive. Try shooting out the lights. Done? Cool? Now you are fighting in the dark and the only light there is are the sparks from your guns!
OK, the story may seem quite shallow, you are pitted against armed men, and you need to shoot your way out. HOWEVER, Thing Thing does have a nice plot. But it is not revealed until the fourth installment where everything becomes clear, who you are and what you are meant to do. If you are thinking about skipping to the fourth installment, that would be OK. HOWEVER, to get the most out of the installment, I would highly recommend that you start with the very beginning... start with the shooting game that got everything going - Thing Thing from Diseased Productions!
