Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm is the sequel to the shooting game, Storm Ops. Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm features the same core gameplay of its predecessor but also offers twelve new achievements, additional weaponry, and improved graphics.
Like the first Storm Ops, the objective of Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm is to defend your base against twenty-five waves of enemies. If you start on the easy difficulty level, you will begin the game with a submachine gun and deal with weaker enemies, but if you choose the hard difficulty level, you will begin with a pistol and face enemies that are more difficult to defeat. Once again, you do not have to complete this entire shooting game in one session since your progress is saved at the end of each wave.
Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm uses the same control scheme as its predecessor. The mouse is used to aim and to shoot. Press the R key to reload your weapon and the F key to switch between firing modes. The 1, 2, and 3 keys are used to switch between weapons. Press and hold the V key to look over your weapon. This is a good way to get a wider view of the battlefield, but will make your fire inaccurate, thus, it is a good idea to take a quick glance over your weapon, spot your target, then return to your sights to fire accurate shots.
Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm features weapons that were present in the first Storm Ops as well as new additions. Like in the first iteration of this shooting game, different weapons have different muzzle velocities. Weapons with higher muzzle velocities fire bullets faster, meaning that you do not have to lead your target as much in comparison to using weapons with low muzzle velocities. I advise you to wait for enemies to stop before shooting when using pistols and submachine guns since it makes them easier to hit. Aim for the heads to earn more money. Once you have enough funding, you can buy a rifle to tear your enemies asunder!
Storm Ops 2: Desert Storm feels like a mere reskin of the original Storm Ops with a few extra weapons added, but that doesn't take away from its entertainment value. Fans of the first Storm Ops will probably enjoy this shooting game.
