Stick Bang Walkthrough

War is never pretty but in Stick Bang, an excellent stick figure shooting game, it's at least pretty cute. The basic premise is pretty easy to understand. On one side you have your black stick giants (that's you) and your purple stick giants (that's your opponent). The black stick giants and purple stick giants hate each other and are at war with one another. This is where you come in. You need to take out all of the purple stick giants so that you may once and for all rule Stickland. To do battle, you have a wide range of 'weapons' at your disposal. Your weapons are smaller, weaker stick figures you'll be hurling at your opponent. Hey, like I said - war isn't pretty. You have to crack a few eggs if you want to make an omelette; the eggs in this case being hapless little stick dudes. You can purchase and upgrade your weapons between levels, but in order to do so, you will need to make it to the end of the level in one piece. That isn't always an easy goal to accomplish.

The controls in Stick Bang aren't like the controls you would use in most stick figure shooting games online so they can take a bit of getting used to. Those who aren't familiar with this kind of game may find it difficult to get the hang of shooting as you are in control of all aspects of your shot. You decide what angle you want to use for your shot as well as the power you want to use to fire that shot. Both of these things combine to determine the distance of your shot and where it will land. You need to get the right angle and the right power for each shot if you want to survive your opponent's attack. Your shots can not only deliver damage to your enemies, but also the landscape surrounding them. Use that to your advantage; just be careful on your own soil. If your opponent can destroy enough of your land that you drop from sight, you're game will be over. Keep moving and aim carefully. That's the best way to get through this surprisingly difficult game.

Stick Bang offers several different weapons in the form of tiny stick figures you can use to defend yourself and attack your enemy. Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses which should help you decide what weapons you want to use is any given situation. All of the weapons available to you are shown at the bottom of the screen in your weapon slots. They begin on the far left with the 'suicide bomber'. The suicide bomber is your basic weapon and you have an unlimited supply of them. When you start the game, you'll have two of each of the rest of the weapons to use only, so use them wisely as you won't get any more unless you purchase them between levels. To learn more about what a weapon is and what it does, hover your mouse over it. I would recommend pausing the game at the very beginning of the first level and looking over the different weapons to learn more about them. This saves you having to do this later in the game when you're facing off against a tough enemy and need a good weapon fast.

As you play through a level in Stick Bang you earn money as you would with most stick figure shooting games. Use this money to buy weapons and upgrade those weapons to make them more powerful or to increase their range. Upgrades are extremely important in this game so don't waste your money on things you don't need. You won't always need to have all of the weapons in your arsenal ready to go. For example, if you used all of your 'Digger' weapons and don't find them overly useful (although they definitely can be helpful in certain circumstances) don't buy any more of them until later in the game. If you really want to purchase one, consider just buying one. That way you'll have one if you need it, but you'll also save money by not buying more than you absolutely need.

Overall, Stick Bang is a game of strategy which is really what sets it apart from most of the other stick figure shooting games online. Instead of just mindlessly shooting your enemies with a sniper rifle, you need to control every aspect of your shot and make sure you're using the best weapon for the job. For the first few levels, don't worry about the additional weapons. All you'll need to get started is your basic suicide bomber. As you progress though, things are going to get more difficult and you'll need those advanced weapons. Experience will tell you what weapons work best is what situations, so play around with them and see what everything does. Use your money wisely and only replenish and upgrade the weapons you think you'll use and you should make it through this game just fine.
