Roly-Poly Cannon 2 Walkthrough

Roly-Poly Cannon 2 is an excellent and engrossing puzzle shooting game that will keep you playing level after level just to see what the game has in store for you next. There are no fancy upgrades to make your cannon stronger. There are no new weapons to buy. There are no waves of enemies attacking or bad guys jumping out to shoot you. This game couldn't be more simple or more basic, and that's what makes it such a pleasure to play. You have one cannon and a bunch of roly-poly bugs you need to take out. Take out all of the bad roly poly bugs to progress to the next level, but be careful. If you want to get a high score - which is a big part of the fun in this game - you need to avoid taking out the 'good' roly poly bugs. Taking out a good roly poly bug will give you a ten shot penalty which will definitely hurt your chances of getting a high score. You have an unlimited number of shots and an unlimited amount of time to complete each level, but if you hope for a high score, you need to complete each level in the game in as few shots as possible. As you progress and the puzzles get more difficult, that gets much harder to do. This is a great game for any fan of puzzle shooting games that will offer a good challenge and keep you entertained.

The basic premise of Roly-Poly Cannon 2 is fairly simple. Roly-poly bugs are bad and they've settled into your land. You need to get rid of all of them so you don't have to worry about the infestation any longer. I'm not entirely sure why roly-poly bugs are so bad. They're pretty cute. I'd trade many of the bugs I've seen in my home to be infested by these little suckers. All the same, they're apparently a bad thing, so you need to take them out. To do that, you'll use your cannon to fire bombs at them. These cute but nasty little things are going to be in a variety of places usually guarded by barriers. You need to figure out how to get your bombs around the barriers and into whatever little nook the bug is in before the bomb explodes. How long you have is indicated by the number on the bomb. The countdown to detonation begins as soon as you shoot the bomb, so make sure you use the right amount of force behind your shot. If you don't use enough force, the bomb will explode before it reaches the bug. If you use too much force, there is a chance it will bounce or roll away from the bug before it explodes and the bug will remain unscathed. This is really where the game gets difficult.

The key to doing well in Roly-Poly Cannon 2 is to think carefully about your moves before you make them. There isn't a level in this engrossing puzzle shooting game that cannot be beat but beating a level with the fewest shots possible is going to take a little skill. You don't have to be an expert shooter to do it though. It's all about putting your mind into the game. Look at where the bugs are and what obstacles are surrounding them. Look at where you need your bomb to end up and work backwards from there. Are there any other obstacles you need to worry about that will prevent you from getting your bomb where you need it to be? Tackle those obstacles first. Some of the barriers slide. Others are connected to other barriers by a hinge so when they are hit, they will swing. Some barriers move up and down of from side to side. This is where timing your shot comes in. There are a lot of things to take into account, but if you take the time to think about what's being asked of you, you should be able to make it through the game with a decent score.

When you're faced with different types of roly-poly bugs in one level in Roly-Poly Cannon 2 and you're not sure which ones are good, if any, and which ones are bad, you just really have to use your better judgment. The general rule of thumb is that if the bug is holding some sort of weapon and doesn't look especially friendly, it's a bad bug. Because you have the option to reset the level and you just aren't sure about whether a bug is good or bad, try blowing it up. If it's a good bug, reset the level and try to avoid blowing it up a second time. It's usually pretty hard to avoid taking out the good bugs but it can be done if you're careful. In reality, taking out one of the good ones isn't terrible. It will hurt your score but if you can't seem to avoid it even after multiple resets, that the penalty and move on.

Overall, Roly-Poly Cannon 2 is a an excellent puzzle shooting game that anyone who likes puzzle games or shooting games is going to enjoy. You don't have to be a skilled shooter to do well in this game. You just need to be careful and willing to think about where your shots are going. Watch what happens when you fire a shot. If you miss your target, adjust the height and force of your shot accordingly. Watching a failed shot is a great way to learn where you're going wrong and figure out how to avoid making the same mistake again. Newcomers to shooting games are going to have no trouble at all picking up the controls while more experienced players are going to love the fact that this game isn't like all of the other shooting games online. It offers something a little different which is perhaps what makes this game most appealing. As long as you take the time to analyze the puzzle you're presented with and aren't afraid to reset if you make a wrong move, you should do just fine in this game.
