Raze 2 is the sequel to the highly-acclaimed shooting game, Raze. Raze 2 features improved graphics, a wider variety of weapons, thirty unlockable skins, numerous special abilities, and tons of equipment!
Raze 2 features two game modes: Campaign and Quick Match. If you are a newcomer to this shooting game, you should start by playing the tutorial under the Quick Match menu. If you need more practice, I advise you to play Deathmatches under the Quick Match menu. You can tweak the settings to fight one-on-one with an easy enemy to learn the ropes of this shooting game. It is a good idea to practice on each of the five game types (Deathmatch, Elimination, Capture the Flag, Domination, and Juggernaut) to get a feel for the rules of each game type before embarking upon the campaign.
After you have learned the basics of Raze 2, you may want to try the campaign. This shooting game features two campaigns: the human campaign and the alien campaign. In order to unlock the alien campaign, however, you must first beat the human campaign. If you decided not to take my advice and play a few Quick Match games to get your feet wet, not to worry, because the first level of the campaign serves as a tutorial. Campaign missions play similar to Quick Match missions, except that you cannot modify the difficulty level, number of players, number of teams, or other customizations. The campaign also continues the story from where the first Raze left off. The storyline may be interesting to you if you have played the first Raze, but the focus of this shooting game is on action.
Raze 2 features five game modes: Deathmatch, Elimination, Capture the Flag, Domination, and Juggernaut. Deathmatch is a standard game where you must kill your enemies and reach the frag limit before they do. Elimination is similar to Deathmatch, except that each player has lives and is eliminated from the match when all of their lives are lost. Your goal in Elimination is to be the last player standing. In Domination mode, teams capture flag areas and earn points over time based on how many flags are under their control. The team that reaches the score limit first wins. Capture the Flag is a classic game mode where each team must capture the opposing team's flag and bring it back to their base. The final game mode of this shooting game is Juggernaut, which plays like a lethal, reversed game of tag. One player is designated as the Juggernaut and it is up to other players to kill the Juggernaut to become the new Juggernaut. Only the Juggernaut earns points for killing in this game mode.
If you have played arena first-person shooting games such as Quake III Arena or any of the Unreal Tournament series of games, then the same general tactics apply in Raze 2, with the exception of course that this is a two-dimensional shooter rather than a three-dimensional FPS. Try to pick up weapons and items as soon as they spawn. Not only you give yourself a boost, you also deny this boost to your enemy, so be sure to pick up any item that you can, even if you do not need them. You should also be mindful of your special ability. When the pink bar beneath your health indicator (in the lower-left corner of the screen) is full, you can use your special ability by pressing the control (or F) key. Your special bar is filled by dealing damage to enemies.
Raze 2 is an exceptional sequel to the first Raze and a perfect blend of platforming game and shooting game. This shooting game has so much to offer and unlock that it is bound to keep you entertained for a long time! Even if you manage to beat the first campaign, there is still the alien campaign and Quick Matches than can be played! What are you waiting for? Action awaits in Raze 2!
