City Siege 2: Resort Siege Instructions

Well, shooting games, usually, have control schemes that are quite finger-twisting and a little more complicated than... say, a puzzle game. BUT no worries, City Siege 2: Resort Siege comes with a handy tutorial that will teach you the ins and outs of the game. For the most part, you will use your W, A, S, and D keys for basic movement. As for shooting down your enemies, all you need to do is move your mouse; point it to your target; and lastly, press the left click button to fire. Let's have a closer look at the game.

City Siege 2: Resort Siege Walkthrough

One of the few shooting games that allows you to create your own team of elite soldiers and send them out on exciting, explosive, and action-packed missions - this is City Siege 2: Resort Siege, a game that was brought to us by thePodge Games. Once you get the game started, you will soon find you and your guys rushing to an unnamed resort city in an attempt to rescue the good guys; obliterate the bad guys; and of course, create as much explosion and destruction while you are at it!

Should you choose to take it, your objective is to clear the screen of ALL of the bad guys who are getting in the way; rescue the VIPs whose lives are very precious; collect as many stars as possible for a better score; and please, don't kill too many civilians in the process. Man, they are just as vulnerable as the regular bad guys and VIPs. Once you complete a mission, you are awarded money and stars. So what do you do with all of those 'Benjamins'? Well, there are a lot of stuff you can do with your money in this shooting game: you can use it to buy new soldiers who are much more efficient at disposing enemies; fill your arsenal with explosives and equipments like bazookas, tanks, helicopters, etc. You can even use it to hire a spy lady that will smoothly sneak up on the enemy, plant bombs, and send them skyrocketing upward in a moment's notice.

As for the stars, you can use it to upgrade and beef up your soldiers. Give them a close look as they climb up the ranks. And no, they don't just gain more badges, they gain speed and boost their killing power. At some point, you will have enough men to form a team of 5 soldiers to assault a level. Switching between soldiers is as easy as clicking on them individually. If that's too troublesome for you though, you can use the number keys 1 to 5 depending on how things are going.

Aside from enjoying the great looking scenery (which is about to blow up once the skirmish starts), there are other stuff you can do in City Siege 2: Resort Siege. You can jump over places or even conceal yourself from enemy units. BUT be careful, your enemies can do the same! They could be hiding in buildings, garages, beaches, and those are just to name a few. Civilian hostages and VIPs might also be held and hidden in these places. Well, you should take advantage of these hiding spots... especially when an enemy out in the open is looking at another direction. This allows you to get the first and possibly killing shot without him looking. Nah, there are no rules in the game about backstabbing hostile units. You are at war soldier! Do whatever it is you need to win it!

You may also find sandbags in the scenery. Some of them are wrapped in barbed wire. There are other stuff like fuel drums, nuclear materials, and those are just to name a few... these are stuff that, when shot, can concoct a spectacular explosion that deals massive damage to surrounding structures and hostile soldiers near it. BUT let me warn you, don't go berserk and detonate every explosive you find. Again, there could be civilians or VIPs around the corner. While the civilian casualties are quite acceptable and you only need to pay them cash, VIPs cannot die... PERIOD. When they do, you need to start again from scratch. Also, one of your men could also die if they are standing too close to the explosion or collapsing building.

Later in the game, once you gain enough cash, you can buy add ons like Air Strike. This is one hell of an add-on I tell you! It wipes out everything in a given area. On the other hand, you can also buy medical supplies which go a long way when it comes to healing your men while in the heat of the battle. Mechanics, on the other hand, can repair your armored vehicles such as tanks and helicopters. I think I don't need to spell it out to you that this game is rich when it comes to upgrade options; equipments and units to be bought; and of course, it's jam packed with action too!

Coming at you with 30 different levels PLUS 3 slots where you can save your games, City Siege 2: Resort Siege offers a lot of replay value. The achievements and medals are always worth going back to. You can always go back to replay levels, bag that perfect gold medal, and milk that level for whatever its worth... giving you spending power that you can use to buy that MASSIVE force which will take on tougher levels and challenges without breaking a sweat.

Beefed up with cute visuals, booming music and sound track, oozing with explosion and fast-paced action, PLUS a Super Mario-like platform tossed in, City Siege 2: Resort Siege will surely give you that wild ride through the world of special operatives and hostage rescue that we are all looking for. Kill the bad guys, rescue the VIPs, and level that resort city to complete rubble - get on with it soldier!
