Carveola Incident: 2118 AD is the sequel to the shooting game, Carveola Incident, and takes place two hundred years after the first. Carveola Incident: 2118 AD retains the gameplay style of its predecessor but also sports improved graphics and new technology to match the futuristic setting of the game.
Carveola Incident: 2118 AD features the same three modes of gameplay that were present in the first Carveola Incident. The primary campaign mode is accessed by selecting "New Game" on the main menu. You can continue a previous campaign by selecting "Continue Game". Challenge Mode features six missions that are played independently. If you manage to complete all six, you will unlock one of this shooting game's eight achievements. In the final mode of the game, Survival Mode, your objective is to survive as long as possible against endless waves of enemies.
Carveola Incident: 2118 AD uses the same control scheme as the first Carveola Incident. The mouse is used to navigate menus and interact with the game's interface. The mouse is also used to aim and to shoot in combat. The R key is used to manually reload weapons in this shooting game. If you need to pause the game for a short break from the action, you may do so by pressing the P key.
Like its forerunner, you can enlist help and purchase upgrades in Carveola Incident: 2118 AD. Instead of infantrymen, you can purchase turrets in this shooting game to support your defenses. I advise you to buy enough turrets to cover one side of the trench while you protect the other side. When you have earned enough money, you can upgrade your weapons and artillery strikes as well as purchase more turrets to keep your enemies at bay.
Carveola Incident: 2118 AD is very similar to its predecessor, so similar in fact, that it feels like a mere reskin of the first Carveola Incident rather than a true sequel at times. Despite this fact, it is a solid shooting game, and fans of the first Carveola Incident will surely enjoy Carveola Incident: 2118 AD.
