Adrenaline Walkthrough
Adrenaline is a fast paced and intense arcade shooting game in which you face off against enemies of various shapes and colors to try to survive as long as you can. You have only three lives and three bombs to make it as far as possible. It isn't easy. Most beginners are only going to be able to make it through the first level or two, but with practice and patience they should be able to improve and make it further. Those with more experience playing arcade style shooting games should fare a bit better, but regardless of experience or skill level, this game is going to be challenging for any player who chooses to take it on. Experience is definitely an advantage, but it will be a rough but entertaining ride regardless. If you're looking for a game that will get your heart pounding and your blood pumping, this just might be the game for you!
The game screen in Adrenaline is pretty easy to understand although there is a bit more information on it than you would find with a typical arcade shooting game. At the top left of your screen you have your score. To the right of your score, below the 'multi' heading you'll see if you have any active score multipliers. If you do, the number will show you how much your score will be multiplied. Pretty easy. In the center of the top of your screen, to the right of multi, you'll see your health. Keep an eye on your health. Each time you're hit by an enemy or enemy fire, you will lose some of your health. If it reaches zero, you will lose a life. To the right of health, you see how much time there is remaining in the round. The circle will start out blue. Once the circle is clear, the round is over and you'll be ready to start the next one. Finally, in the top right of your screen you have two numbers and two symbols. The number and symbol on the top shows you how many lives you have left. When you begin, you'll have three lives. Each time you run out of health, one life will be subtracted from the lives at the top right. Below lives you see how many bombs you have left to use. Drop a bomb to remove all of the enemies on the screen. They're extremely useful, but also limited. Be sure you use them wisely. They don't replenish at the beginning of each new level.
In Adrenaline, as is true of most arcade shooting games online, you are rewarded with cash for each enemy you kill. As you play through a level, you will accumulate more cash which can be used to purchase beneficial upgrades between levels. You can upgrade the number of bullets your weapon fires at once, how fast your weapon fires and the speed at which you travel - all of which can be very helpful in making your game last longer. More bullets and a faster rate of fire will help you take enemies out much more quickly. Being able to move faster will help you evade enemies. You can also purchase an extra life or an extra bomb from the upgrades screen. They're expensive but if you really want to make it anywhere in this game, they're worth it. I would recommend upgrading your weapon first. Taking out more enemies is a great benefit. It helps keep you safe longer but also helps you collect more money for more upgrades.
The best way to advance in Adrenaline is to stay on your toes. Keep your eyes out for the enemies that are the most immediate threat and take them out first. Some of the enemies follow you so they are of a higher priority to take out; especially if they're attacking in a group. As you progress in the game, you'll come up against new, more difficult enemies. Keep that simple rule in mind and you should do okay. In addition to prioritizing your enemies, make sure you use the arrow keys to move around when you have to. If you're not being attacked by a large number of enemies, staying in one place is a good idea. This allows you to focus on taking out your enemies. When you're being attacked by a group though, move away from the group and try to get your distance while shooting behind you. This way you get some room to breathe while still thinning out the herd. Take advantage of the upgrades available to you and focus on getting your gun upgraded. Finally, save your bombs for as long as you can, but always keep an eye on your health. If you're close to losing your last life and you're being attacked by a large number of enemies, a bomb is likely going to be the only way you can stay in the game. Try not to use them before that point so you have them when you need them.
Overall, Adrenaline is an excellent game any fan of arcade shooting games will love. The game is genuinely difficult but even if you can't get through the first few levels, you'll still have a lot of fun playing this game. As long as you focus on upgrading your weapon and trying to keep ahead of the enemies, you should do fine. This is a game that will have you hooked from the very beginning and keep you coming back for more game after game. It isn't complicated or over done which is something you don't often see in arcade shooting games. It's simple and simply addictive. What more could you ask for?
